Job Summary 
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support in the respective offices aforementioned. The incumbent positions will require good organizational and follow-through skills, attention to details, good time management and flexibility. 
Qualifications and Experience Required: 
  • BSc. (or its equivalent) in Business Administration, Management Studies or Information Technology. 
  • CPS designation would be an asset. 
  • At least two years working experience. 
Required Skills or Competencies: 
  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team environment; 
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and organize work to meet deadlines; 
  • Possess excellent record keeping and report writing skills. 
  • Excellent team spirit; 
  • Proficient in the use of relevant computer applications, especially Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new applications; 
  • Possess a high degree of confidentiality and honesty; 
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required. 
  • Be knowledgeable of, and committed to, the philosophy, principles and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist church, and give witness to these values in his/her professional and Christian life;

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing of course material in keeping with the SDA philosophy of education and its implication for the integration of faith and learning
  • Be deliberate in ensuring that learning outcomes of stated courses are in terms of expected knowledge, attitudes, skills, and competencies of learners
  • Researching current trends/topics in the content area
  • Ensure that the course content is user-friendly and covers the curriculum established for such offerings in national and international standards
  • Ensure that the course information provides strategies for learner engagement and success 
  • Ensure that the design template is followed to allow for consistent layout, clear presentation of material as well as an aesthetically pleasing design and appropriate graphics, pictures and/or diagrams
  • Collaborating with publishers and authors for rights to use of published material in course content
Minimum Qualifications: 
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline (content area) for which application is being submitted.
  • At least three (3) years of instructing in the area of discipline

Training:

Successful candidates will be required to complete the NCU Distance Course Development Training inclusive of the software and curriculum requirements prior to the commencement of course writing.

Training 
Successful candidates will be required to complete the NCU Distance Education training in online instruction, technology software and curriculum requirements prior to the start of teaching.
